阅读下列短文,然后根据短支内容回答问题。

Once my teacher asked me, "What do you think of computer games?" I thought for a while and answered, "They are good and all right". However, more and more young people spend too much time on them. So most of the parents and teachers don't like them. But I think there is nothing wrong with computer games themselves.

First of all, we must admit (承认) that computer games make our life more interesting and colorful. They add excitement to our life. Secondly, they have some advantages such as enriching(使丰富) our imagination, improving our concentration and extending our mind.

Everything has its limit(界限). If you go beyond the limit, it'll be another situation. Believe it or not, computer games can be your enemy if you lose control(控制) of yourself. That's why some people are deeply influenced while others are not. As we can see, to play or not to play, that is the question.

1. What did the writer think of computer games before?

_____________________________________________________________

2. Why don't most of the parents and teachers like computer games?

_____________________________________________________________

3. According to the text, what can be your enemy if you lose control of yourself?

Good news for all Chinese middle school students in the countryside. They don't have to pay for school education anymore.51-year-old Ren Yuqi is even happier than the students. It was Ren who suggested the idea to the government about this.

I once experienced an unforgettable trip to Gloucester to see some of the world's most beautiful and exciting animals in their own habitat(栖息地), the North Atlantic Ocean.

After a long trip by bus, we got on the ship. After a while, we stopped and everyone on the ship started to shout because we saw a humpback whale(座头鲸). It was wonderful. Sometimes, whales came so close to the ship that you thought you could easily touch them.

While we were watching the whales, a guide was giving us some information about them. She told us that we saw only two kinds of whales -- 50-foot humpback whales singing whales and 70-foot fin back whales the second largest whales on earth. She also said we could easily recognize a whale by its tail because every whale has a different kind of tail just like people have different fingerprints.

They all have names, and on this trip, we saw "Salt" and "Pepper", two whales named by a biologist and a fisherman. They were swimming together all the time.

I took twenty-seven photos, but it was very hard to take them because the whales were quick and stayed on the surface(表面) of the ocean just for a short time. It was really something. It was one of the chances that a person hardly ever experiences in life, but I had that chance.

1. This passage is mainly about ____.

A. some of them fed the whales

B. they found several kinds of whales

C. a guide told them something about the whales

D. some of them took many photos and touched the whales

4. How can we recognize a whale?

A. By its tail(认识).                            B. By its head.
