   On April 20th, a big earthquake happened in Ya'an, Sichuan. Many buildings were     36    .Many people lost their relatives and their homes. A lot of people were injured, about 200 people died. On August 26, 1999, New York City was struck by a terrible rainstorm. The rain caused the streets to  1  and the underground system almost came to a stop.
